Technical Procurement Engineer

ABOUT THE JOB

Your focus will be to systematically source, select and procure components in India based on the (technical) requirements that your colleagues share with you. It is important that you have the right entries into potential industrial partners and that you can negotiate the best deal for TUX. Therefore it is essential that you already have an expansive network in place in the Indian automotive industry. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Building and leading the embedded software development

  • Systematically identify and map all relevant potential suppliers for specific automotive components.

  • Translating system specifications and constraints into RFQ’s.

  • Systematically compare the different suppliers/components so that together with the rest of the TUX team you can determine the way forward.

  • Ensuring that, by the time components are integrated, all documentation is in place and the entire sourcing and integration process has been followed to the required company standards.

  • Visit new suppliers and potentially explore partnerships with new suppliers.

  • Receive and forward sample components from India to The Netherlands, so that your colleagues can integrate them in the prototype.

  • Take part in design reviews and verification.

ABOUT YOU

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement in the Indian automotive industry.

  • Fluency in English is required.

  • A hands-on attitude, though being able to be analytical when required.

  • A solid understanding of engineering principles, fabrication methods (both plastics and steel) and a reasonable professional understanding of mechanical and electrical design, CAD, etc.
