Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We're looking for a proactive, passionate and innovative Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with at least 8+ years of relevant experience to join our diverse team based in Breda, Netherlands.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Taking an active role in the development and integration of the entire vehicle (body panels, chassis, motors etc) with the rest of the mechanical engineering team.
Taking an instinctive design approach whilst at the same time is aware of when analysis and calculations is appropriate and necessary.
Taking ownership of designs and is able to drive these through conception, CAD and visualisation, prototyping and verification, whilst consistently working at pace.
Continuously evaluating and improving designs for cost effectiveness, manufacturing improvements, increased quality and value.
Applies understanding and experience of high-volume manufacturing processes and materials to optimise designs.
Applies sound engineering standards to deliver real solutions.

ABOUT YOU

Bachelor's in ideally Mechanical, Product Design Engineering, or Industrial Design Engineering.
8+ years proven experience in a product design environment.
Preferably you already live in the Netherlands.
Intermediate level knowledge on the use of CAD package(s), including surface modeling and 2D drawing creation using GD&T.
Comfortable working in the early stages of development without all constraints defined.
Experience in plastic or/and steel manufacturing processes is desirable.
Experience in delivering real world products to market.
Flexible and collaborative approach.
Fluency in English is required.
